Carsten Brinkschulte serves as Chief Executive Officer, responsible for the company’s overall strategy and operations. Before becoming CEO of CND, Carsten was CEO at Movirtu providing a virtual SIM platform which he sold to BlackBerry in 2014. Prior to that, he was CEO at Synchronica plc, a leading messaging infrastructure provider with 90+ operator contracts. Earlier, he was CEO of Weblicon AG, providing Webmail and mobile synchronization, as well as technical roles at Apple and SAP AG.

Dragos Vingarzan is the technical leader in charge of OpenEPC even since its beginning back in 2008. Until the end of 2014, he was a Senior Researcher at the Fraunhofer FOKUS Competence Center NGNI (Next Generation Network Infrastructures). Since then he is acting CTO, founder and leader of Fraunhofer FOKUS’ spin-off Core Network Dynamics GmbH.
Dragos graduated at the “Politehnica” University of Bucharest in February 2005 with a Diploma Thesis on the subject of Service Triggering in IMS, with a practical prototype implementation. During the 5-year study at the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computer Science he followed the Computer Engineering Program on base software, compilers and computer networks.

Alexandru Russu studied telecommunications at the Transilvania University of Brasov, Romania and obtained his Diploma in 2007.
He started to work the same year in Brasov for Master Telecom then from 2009 for Vodafone in Bucharest. Here he got an inside view of the mobile networks architecture and operation while working in the Operations and Maintenance Center, which raised his interest for this domain. He joined the Next Generation Network Infrastructures (NGNI) at Fraunhofer FOKUS Institute in 2011 where he focused on the Open Evolved Packet Core (OpenEPC) testbed and deployment.

Valentin Vlad is a PhD student at the Technische Universität Berlin, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, specializing in Communication Systems.He received his Bachelor diploma in Computer Science at the Technical University of Cluj Napoca, Romania in 2009. He joined the Next Generation Network Infrastructures (NGNI) Competence Center of the Fraunhofer FOKUS Institute in 2009, focusing his work on the core network mobility aspects of the OpenEPC platform.

Lukas Wöllner is a graduate of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Technische Universität Berlin, specialized in Network and Communication Systems.
He worked at WoM World of Medicine AG, TKN institute and T-Labs as a specialist for hardware close development in network environments. In 2012 he joined Fraunhofer Fokus NGNI to take over the development in 2G Data, circuit switched calls in 2G/3G and SRVCC/VoLTE in the OpenEPC group.

Jakub Kocur received his Bachelor’s degree from Warsaw University of Technology, Poland in 2011. He gained his first professional experience working for Orange Labs Poland, where he realized his Bachelor’s thesis on the subject “Femtocells. Ways of offloading core network”. When he joined the OpenEPC team in 2011 he was responsible for an integration of 2G and 3G femtocells to the OpenEPC platform. Currently he is leading the radio access team implementing innovative systems for MEC and C-RAN.

Murugadoss Venu is a graduate of the Hanyang University, Seoul, South Korea. He gained his first experience in telecommunications as a software engineer at Larsen & Toubro InfoTech, India developing base station software for WiMAX networks. Later, he worked as a Software Consultant at Samsung Electronics developing ASN-GW software for base stations and as Senior Engineer at SMEC in South Korea, where he had primary responsibility for design, development and testing of software for security Gateway, ePDG and SmallCell gateway (HeNB-GW). Murugadoss has experience in NFV, OpenStack and NFV MANO (Tacker) as well as IKEv2, IPsec, DIAMETER, RADIUS authentications protocols.

Kartikeswar Koppula is a graduate of Nagpur University, India, where he acquired graduation in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering in 2007, and did his Masters degree specializing in Software Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences, Pilani in 2012.He gained his first experience in telecommunication at Tata Elxsi Limited, India where he was involved in RoHC protocol development for eNodeB stack. Later at Aricent Technologies he contributed extensively on development of UMTS data offloading gateway and eNodeB Layer-2 with focus on MAC schedulers. He also contributed in supporting multiple geographically distributed customers on their LTE field trials and deployments. At Proxim Wireless Inc, where he worked for a short span, he played pivotal role in development of Multi Radio products and acquired deeper insights of IEEE Radio standards.

Kamaljeet Kaur is a graduate of R.G.P.V University, IndiaKamaljeet worked with Aricent Technologies before joining CND. During 4.5 year of tenure at Aricent, contributed in the development of LTE eNodeB Layer-2 protocol stack with focus on MAC Layer. Worked with multiple clients for the integration and deployment on LTE eNodeB protocol stack.

Alberto Diez was part of the initial OpenEPC team at Fraunhofer FOKUS. Between 2010 and 2015 he worked with telecommunications equipment vendors as solution architect and product manager. Alberto enjoys direct contact with the customer and innovating to solve real world problems. At CND, Alberto supports the team providing the customer view to technology and a long-term strategic vision.
You will find him representing CND at customer meetings and conferences, analyzing business cases, preparing marketing collaterals as well as engaged in discussions with the R&D team.
